If you have ever wanted to learn how to relax or meditate, have been to a class before and not progressed to the level you would have liked to achieve or felt uncomfortable in a group, then Brenda can offer you a safe and friendly environment in which to learn or further develop your current skills.

You can learn to meditate in 1:2:1 private sessions at the practice, which are of great benefit, as there are no distractions or feelings of pressure from being surrounded by a large class. We also offer a remote online service for meditation: please ask for details.

What is meditation?

The regular practice of meditation involves focusing the mind on just one thing, something as simple as our breathing for instance is capable of calming the mind and stopping the daily chatter with have with our everyday thoughts and worries.

What are some of the benefits of meditation?

Sessions last one hour at a fee of £40. Always keep an eye out for our meditation mornings which are posted onto each page; you should be able to see by scrolling down the page. Do I have to sit crossed legged on the floor?
No , you can sit comfortably on a chair or even lie down.

Do I have to have any experience?
No none at all.

Do I have to wear any special clothes?
No just whatever you feel comfortable in, everyday clothes will be fine.

Do I have to be a Buddhist to practise meditation?
No, we teach non-religious meditation and every one is free to attend sessions, whatever their lifestyle.

We have initiated further health and safety measures within the practice, in order to continue to provide you with the wonderful, person-centred care you already receive.  We thank you all for your kindness and patience whilst waiting for us to re-open.

In order to keep you and your therapist safe and well, here is the current guidance to help you prepare for your next appointment.

  • You will be contacted the day before your appointment is due and asked questions about your current health. If you answer yes to any of the questions you will be asked to defer your appointment to another date when it safe to do so. You will be reminded to take your temperature on the day of your appointment and to bring your own drink with you.
  • Upon arrival you must be wearing a mask, clean socks and wait in your car until called in. 
  • All of your belongings will be kept in a container at the entrance; only bring into the practice essential items: such as your bottle of water, shoes and coat if needed. 
  • Clients will be required to wash their hands before entering the treatment room: soap, paper towels and a bin will be available to you. 
  • Your therapist will be wearing PPE.
  • All payments via BACS only
  • There will be a 30 minute break between treatments to allow for thorough cleaning.
